Capo's Restaurant and Speakeasy
About This Spot
Stepping into Capo's Restaurant and Speakeasy feels like slipping through a hidden door into another time, where the energy quietly hums with the charm of a bygone era. Nestled on West Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas, this is not just a place to eat, but a softly lit retreat where every detail invites you to slow down and savor the moment. The pace is unhurried, the lighting intimate—shadows mingle with carefully placed pinpoints of warm glow, making even the first steps inside feel like a secret shared among friends.
The atmosphere here blends the warmth of an old-world Italian gathering with the mystique of a speakeasy lounge. Dark wood accents and cozy booths encourage lingering conversations, while the staff in vintage-inspired uniforms add a touch of theatricality that never distracts but quietly envelops you in the story unfolding around you. Live music plays softly in the background, its understated presence weaving seamlessly into the buzz of friendly chatter and clinking glasses.
At Capo's, dining feels like rediscovering old family recipes passed down through whispers and laughter. The menu isn’t just about the food; it’s a tapestry of irreplaceable experiences. Each bite resonates with care—from comforting pasta dishes that remind you of Sunday dinners to cocktails crafted with a knowing hand, each sip balancing nostalgia and surprise. It’s the kind of place where a freshly prepared lasagna or a nostalgic Italian cocktail becomes part of the evening’s rhythm rather than just a meal or drink.
More than the dishes, it’s the human moments here that linger. Friendly greetings at the door, the playful exchange with the gatekeepers of this hidden world, and the way servers move through the space like stewards of a shared secret. Patrons become part of the scene, whether it's pausing to snap a photo with the welcoming hosts or settling in to soak up the sound of a voice that seems perfectly tuned to the space’s rich character.
Capo's invites you into a layered experience where the past and present meet—where a night out feels less like a routine and more like a cherished memory taking shape. It’s a place that encourages you to return not just for the food or the cocktails, but for the quiet joy of feeling seen, welcomed, and part of something a little rare and wholly genuine.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the whole experience in itself starts as soon as you get into the parking lot. We loved our interaction with Kid and Tommy, they really give it the old-school, speakeasy feel. The atmosphere is awesome, the service is awesome & Abbys voice is to die for. Kid wished us well as we were leaving and even offered to snap a couple pictures of us in front of the old school car. It’s such a unique dining experience, you have to add it to your bucket list !

This is an incredibly special place. It’s a bar, restaurant, lounge and … a speakeasy! Yes. You need a password to get in, although you can argue with the guy in the little window by the pay phone and he might let you in… inside the decor is stunning, very dark with spots of light on the tables. All the waiters and busboys wear uniforms reminiscing of a long forgotten era and it’s beautiful. The lounge singers fit the atmosphere with their repertoire and finally the food: absolutely delicious! Do yourselves a favor and get the meatballs, even as an appetizer. The sauce is to die for. This place is an experience you won’t forget and you will want to be back. Highly recommended!

Great spot! Love the ambience, you walk through the door and transition into the '20's, the tiny stage with live music. Low lighting, cozy booths, and staff with attitude. The bruschetta, meatballs, carbonara and bolognese were all delicious. Finished with affogatto, yummy!

OMG WE HAD THE BEST TIME! We came to celebrate my dads Birthday which happens to fall on Thanksgiving. On the menu was the Turkey feast and it did not disappoint. The stuffing/cranberry combo is undefeated. The service was fantastic, every person we came across was so friendly and felt like family. They were very attentive to our table and made sure we had everything we needed and asked for. Entertainment was OFF THE HOOK! We loved the gentleman who was performing. He dang so many of my dads favorite songs from Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond and more. He was so great going into the crowd and working the crowd and mic! Great voice, Great entertainer. I’m not usually a fan of turkey but I wanted to try the Turkey feast in honor of Thanksgiving lol. You were able to choose between dark or white meat. I chose dark. My plate came with green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, corn, and cranberry sauce. It also came with a soup or salad, and a dessert. The pumpkin pie was pretty basic nothing special, but I really my dinner plate was yummy! The green beans were fantastic, seasoned with a little garlic and Parmesan. You get complimentary sourdough and butter. I also enjoyed their cheese bread! The kitchen was so kind to treat my dad and have him choose a steak dish. He thoroughly enjoyed it, you could cut that baby with a butter knife. Great hospitality, GREAT FOOD & good service. Perfect restaurant to grab a bite to eat with live entertainment. We had so much fun! Highly recommend for families. If you bring your littles be aware of adult language and minimal lighting (it is a speakeasy restaurant).

Great place for dinner! We had a shrimp alfredo and ravioli and tried the meatballs. Everyone was so attentive and nice. We did not have a reservation but we were there at 6p and the place opened at 4p. Will be back next time we're in Vegas!

We decided to go last night not realizing we needed a reservation but the host (Ziggy?) accommodated us. Food was 20/10. Everything we had was so, so delicious. We ordered bruschetta, lasagna and chicken parmesan. I am an extra-sauce-on-everthing kind of person and they definitely give, in my opinion, the perfect amount and I even had enough to sop some bread in the leftovers. Entertainment was the highlight for my group as The Magic of V came by our table and blew us away with his tableside magic. For the rest of our dinner and the entire ride back to the hotel we were still talking and laughing about how blown away we were by it. Definitely go...but make a reservation first.
